Update re: Newsvandal

Just passing along a quick note re: Newsvandal on Substack.

Last week I pulled the plug on Newsvandal.com and migrated that domain to this Substack page. It cements my commitment to this format. I hope it entices people who’ve followed Newsvandal and who receive the Newsvandal Rundown newsletter through MailChimp.

Sadly, I also pulled the plug on the most popular piece I’ve written … and it’s not even close. The title? Meditations on Bert Convy’s Hair. Yup. People clicked on that piece every day for 15 years … and not just a few here and there. A lot of people clicked on that hair piece. I intend on archiving that piece and a few others here … and they all should be ready for your perusal before the end of the year.

As for Our Daily Thread … I will resume that next Monday. The domain name shift was the start of a long to-do list I’d neglected for months. Now Newsvandal.com is ready for its second act.

Thanks to all the followers and subscribers … particularly the small handful of paid supporters who are helping defray the cost of doing this. Here’s hoping this site can move from the red to the black in the coming year.
